Postnatal Meeting
Getting to know your client, getting a feel for what type of birth experience you're looking for.

From 38 weeks to 42 weeks we will be on-call, 24 hours a day via telephone, e-mail and text messaging, providing practical and emotional support throughout the pregnancy and post-natal period.

Although we are a non-medical labour assistant, we act as a mediator between parents and the hospital staff, comforting the mother during birth and providing one to one care. We can also record the births e.g. photographs, video cameras. During the antenatal visits we will put together a birth plan, discussing a range of issues on offer and personalise a 'care plan' that is right for you.
